Additional Notes for Winter Fishing Report February 2017
Fishing the Kenai Lake bridge and below is becoming increasingly popular. Fish the holes all the way down and around the bend for wintering over Rainbows and Dollies. Be prepared to hook a spawning or there to spawn Silver salmon. Switch rod fishermen are swinging sculpins in olive and black as well as one hand fly rod Fishermen as well. The trick is getting down and slow. Fish the warmer days above freezing for best results. Beads in fresh colors under an indicator will also pick up some fish. Lake fishing is good on all our area lakes with extremely thick ice conditions.
