Additional Notes for May 20th Fishing Report
Fishing the area lakes is picking up as the water starts to warm up and turn over these lakes from their winter slumber. Kelly Lake has been producing some nice Rainbow trout and a few Dolly Varden. Cooper lake and Rainbow Lakes should be icee free any day now if not already and the trout will be hungry. Use spinners and spoons and retrieve them slowly as the waters are still cold. Dry fly fishing in the evenings have been great. Black leeches and Chironomids are the way to go for fly fishing as well as nymphs and Stickleback patterns. The forecast for the Russian River according to area biologist is for an above average return so it should be good.
