Additional Notes for Fishing Report July 21st 2019 Kenai River & Russian River Alaska
The 2nd run of Sockeye into the Russian River is building and getting better each day. Historically, the main push occurs after the 20th of July. We have not experienced a complete gap in the run from the 2nd to the 1st run this year. Folks spending the day are catching fish and more importantly having a good time. Trout fishing is doing very well in the Russian River and the 1st run of Sockeye will start to spawn on or about the 1st of August. Spawning means "Bead" fishing time so it should be on fire. The Upper Kenai from the bridge down is producing great Sockeye action. Our Sockeye Madness trips which we run below Skilak Lake are limiting out daily. These are big Chrome fish. Call our office today for availability at 907-595-1401. Tight lines!!
