Additional Notes for Fishing Report August 14th 2019 Kenai River & Russian River Alaska
The Silver Salmon are starting to show up in good numbers at the Russian River Ferry and the Russian River. The numbers will build from here and peak around the end of the month. These are big bruiser Silvers or Coho salmon that are super fresh and bright. Sockeye fishing has also been quite successful and bountiful for those who continue to fish for them. Limits are the norm for now for most people. Trout fishing is definitely heating up as the Sockeye and King salmon start their spawning ritual. Beads in fresh and washed out color in size 10mm and 8mm are working really well. Pick up Mottled Dark Roe, Mottled Orange Clear, Apricot Swirl and Salmon which are some of the all time favorites that get it done. Be sure to treat the trout well and release them without harm and consider going barbless to minimize damage....Tight lines
