Additional Notes for Fishing Report August 12th 2019 Kenai River Russian River Alaska

Fishing for Sockeye at the Russian River Ferry remains strong especially in the Sanctuary.  Coho salmon are being counted at the Russian river weir so they are starting to come through.  Silver fishing will hit its peak usually on the last week of August with best fishing at the mouth of the Russian River and the Sanctuary.  Trout fishing has been on fire in the back channel areas of the Kenai River and also in the Russian River and Quartz Creek.  Beads in a variety of colors that best match the spawn will work best.  Have a selection of washed out beads as well as fresh egg colors in sizes 6mm and 8mm.  Troutbeads are the "go to" brand out there that get the job done.  Our Sockeye trips and Silver salmon trips continue to do very well if you decide to join us for a day of fishing.  Our trout trips are also doing very well as the Kings begin to drop their eggs as well.  Tight Lines!!
