Additional Notes for
Quartz Creek is the main show in town as well as walking in to the Upper Kenai River from MP 53 to Kenai Lake. Trout and Dolly fishing has been exceptional on Quartz with a rather large amount of Spawners in the Creek and an unprecedented amount of Dollies and Rainbows layed up and bunched up around and behind the Sockeye. Use mottled fresh colored beads in Natural Roe, Dark Roe and Tangerine in sizes 6mm and 8mm for consistent results. Work in a few washed out colors as fresh beads wane. The water levels are good and the water is clear. We are still running salmon trips on the Lower Kenai River with great success for Silvers and quite a bit of Sockeye that remain in good shape. Call today to book a trip for any of these great adventures. Tight lines!!
