Additional Notes for Fishing Report August 17th 2017
Good amount of 1st and 2nd run Sockeye coming ups the bank at the ferry and headed into the Russian River. Silvers are showing in catchable numbers and will only improve as the days go by peaking the last week in August. Trout fishing the Russian and the refuge is strong right now with beads. Lots of spawner Kings throughout the area from the ferry down. September is our biggest push of Silvers on the Upper with a peak window between the 10th and 30th of September. On or about the 1st of September, the main Kenai River salmon spawn will occur and fishing will be super strong for trout & Dollies using beads for several weeks thereafter.
